The North Hero House is a historic, beautifully restored country inn with a modern flair. Nestled in the heart of a charming well-preserved 19th-century village on Lake Champlain, the Inn has been welcoming guests since 1891, when they arrived by paddle wheel steamer.

The Inn’s wide range of amenities includes 26 newly renovated romantic rooms, two acclaimed restaurants, two full bars, beautiful event sites, a sandy beach, a marina, a mini spa, and a caring staff. The Inn is a wonderful getaway for couples, families, destination weddings, business meetings, and private parties. Breakfast is included in your stay, we have free WIFI, plenty of parking for our guests, and we are pet friendly ($40 p/night fee).

Property and Cancellation Policies

We collect one night's room rate as a deposit at the time of booking. No refunds are given for early departure. Cancellations made 21 days or more prior to arrival will receive a full refund, less a $35 service charge*. For cancellations 21 days and prior to arrival, guests will receive a full refund less $35 service charge. Inside 21 days guest will forfeit 50% of deposit, however may apply the cancellation amount to any future reservation within the same calendar year, less the $35 service charge. For cancellations within 7 days, guests will forfeit the entire deposit.

*All reservations made with promo codes are considered non-refundable and non-cancelable unless otherwise noted.

Property and Cancellation Policies

All room and package rates are subject to state and local taxes.
Resort Fee of $25.00 per room per night will be applied to reservation.
All room rates are based on double occupancy - additional persons in guest room are subject to a $15 per night charge.
All rates are quoted in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice.

Dogs are allowed in specific rooms for an additional $40 nightly fee per dog
Please be sure your dog is registered with our Front Desk prior to your arrival and remains on leash at all times. We appreciate you picking up after your dog too!

We are proud to be Non-Smoking.
Any guest found smoking will be required to pay a minimum of 1 night's penalty along with a $250 deep cleaning fee.

For each reservation a $1 donation to the Lake Champlain Land Trust. If you prefer not to make the donation please inform us before you check out.

The Cobbler Suite is at lake level with a private screened in patio. This room features one queen bed in the bedroom and a queen sized pullout sofa bed. Exposed beams and fieldstone walls transport you to a simpler time in our Cobbler Suite.

SW4 - The Nedde Suite
The Nedde Suite is ground level in our South Wind building. This room features a king bed and a four season living space with a gas fireplace and a queen sized day bed. Enjoy the views of Lake Champlain over our Pier Bar’s live roof.
